Bios
Mike Akin- Mike Akin started in the industry in the early 1980′s as a lawn care pro-
fessional. His 35 years’ experience, assisting Green Industry contractors throughout
Wisconsin, has allowed him the privilege of partnering up with many successful com-
panies. His extensive background in fertilizer; seed, pesticide, ice melt and distribution
logistics has proven to be a valuable asset.
Brandon Wickus- Brandon started in the industry as a property maintenance / land-
scape professional in 1990. After earning his Bachelor’s degree in Forestry from U/W
Madison, as well as becoming a certified Arborist, he has served as customer service
rep for several successful Milwaukee area landscape supply companies. He has exten-
sive knowledge in all facets of the Green Industry but he specializes in helping you with
your low voltage lighting designs, transformers and fixtures.
Zac Houfek- Zac has been in the landscaping industry since 2004. In 2009 Zac
Earned his Associates degree in Ornamental Horticulture from Kishwaukee College in
Dekalb, Illinois. Zac has been in the golf industry for the past 10 years working as an
Assistant Superintendent at several Milwaukee area country clubs. Zac has extensive
knowledge in turf grass management.
Pete Holcomb- Pete has been in the industry since 1990. He owned and operated a
very successful landscape company for 18 years. While managing his landscape compa-
ny, Pete started an ever growing salt and ice melt distribution company selling various
selections of bagged ice melt and rock salt. Unique to the north side of Milwaukee he
also operated a 24 hour bulk salt loading service for snow removal contractors during
snow events. In 2018 Pete sold his landscape company and invested fully into Complete
Lawn and Landscape Supply.
